    Kyiv as a Ukrainian capital is a natural railway cross-point. What's more, it's located in the northcentral Ukraine and the railway tracks to the capital city are in a good condition - that is why if moving from Western to Eastern Ukraine (or opposite) you will probably go through it. There are trains to Berlin, Wroclaw, Krakow, Warsaw, Prague, Viena, Budapest, Bucharest, Varna, Belgrad, Sofia, Venice and to several places in former USSR.
