Being rich not only culturally but possessing great nature, Ukraine has got plenty of opportunities for active or even extreme activities. It will not only provide positive emotions, but gives a chance to get aquainted with fascinating nature sceneries and landscapes.

Herewith we offer several options of participating in rafting trips that are to suit all tastes: one-day or multi-day trips in groups or for only two of you or for you and your friends.

First of all we would like to present an intense full day adventure!
These trips are personable and fun, not mass-marketed formula trips like most of the larger rafting companies. Professional guides will provide proper equipment and make sure your trip is safe and enjoyable. No experience necessary!

AVAILABILITY:
March through November. The best months to book a rafting trip are during the heat of Ukraine’s summer, from June through August.

Variant I.
Stryj River


Fun full day trip through moderate rapids surrounded by woodlands and mountains. You will enjoy 18 kilometres of rafting and outstanding scenery on the route Verkhnye Synyevydne - Hirne. It is great excitement to hike to scenic viewpoints overlooking amazing mountain landscape with an opportunity to explore ancient Rozhirche’s cave monastery.

Variant II
Dnister River

Enjoy the scenery on easy, flat-water sections on Dnister River: Zhuravno – Tsvitova (24 km). The full-day trip includes a barbeque on the river's edge, in scenic area. This trip is mostly about having fun breaking free from the pressures of modern life.

Price per person - 350 UAH (76 USD). We may organize two-day trips on these routes so next day will cost - 300 UAH (65 USD).

Cheremosh River

Duration: 3 days
AVAILABILITY: 25-27, 28-30 April; 1-3, 5-7, 8-10 May


1st day.
Meeting the group in Ivano-Frankivsk. Walking tour in Ivano-Frankivsk.  Transfer to Yaremcha. Visiting Probiy Fall and Hutsul Market. Transfer to the location place of the stationery camp in Upper Cheremosh (Krasnyk-Zelene area). Instructions and training (mastering skills of rafting on mountain rivers). Rest-time.

2nd day. Rafting on the river rapids (Krasnyk-Verkhovyna section). Familiarization with Hutsul region and visiting farmstead (original name - grazhda) and Ivan Franko museum in Kryvorivnya village. Rest-time.
3rd day. Rafting on the river rapids (Zelene-Krasnyk section). Transfer back to Ivano-Frankivsk. End of the tour.

Price per person includes:
•    All transfers during the tour
•    instructor services during the tour;
•    Hutsul tour;
•    dwelling facilities (tents, sleeping bags, rubber mats);
•    use of special equipment, as well as safety equipment (catamarans, sculls, life jackets, helmets, safety ropes);
•    meals (2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners);

ATTENTION! Organizers have the right to change the tour programme or correct it because of unsatisfactory water-level or weather conditions. For those who wish to climb on the highest peak of Ukraine – Hoverla (2061 m) – it can be organized.

 

Cheremosh River

Duration: 5 days
“Mountain Awakening Festival”
Suitable for people with elementary skills of rafting and hiking.
AVAILABILITY: 30 April – 4 May; 5-9 May

1st day. Meeting the group in Ivano-Frankivsk. Walking tour in Ivano-Frankivsk.  Transfer to Yaremcha. Visiting Probiy Fall and Hutsuls’ Market. Transfer to “Zaroslyak” tourist centre. Climbing on the highest peak of Ukraine – Hoverla (2061 m). Transfer to the location place of the stationery camp in Upper Cheremosh (Krasnyk-Zelene area). Rest-time.
2nd day. Instructions and training (mastering skills of rafting on mountain rivers). Rafting on the river rapids (Krasnyk-Verkhovyna section). Rest-time. Rafting on the river rapids. Dinner. Rest-time ( you may order that musicians will play local (hutsul) music for you in the evening).
3d day. Hiking (Chornohora range, Vukhatyy Kamin Rocks, Pip Ivan mountain with ruins of observatory, Smotrych mountain).  Coming back to the camp. Rest-time.
4th day. Rafting on the river rapids. Rafting on the river rapids. Rest-time.
5th day. Transfer to Kryvorivnya (visiting of Ivan Franko museum, Mykhaylo Hrushevskyy museum, farmstead (grazhda)). Transfer to Kosiv and visiting Hutsuls’ market of handmade things.transfer to Kolomyya. Walking tour and visiting Hutsulschyna and Pokuttya museum. Transfer to Ivano-Frankivsk. End of the tour.

•    transfer to/from the railway station (Ivano-Frankivsk or Kolomyya);
•    transport service during the tour;

DNISTER RIVER

Duration: 3, 5, 7 or 12 days
No need for special skills for participating in this trip.
AVAILABILITY: May-October
 


Its charm is in no way inferior to such promoted regions as the Carpathians or the Crimea. Uniqueness of this trip is due to picturesque landscapes: steep rocky or afforested banks of 200 m high, travertine rocks, geological outcrops, caves and grottos, waterfalls and marvelous islands. All this is untouched and wild nature that gives silence and solitude.
This region is peculiar in terms of the weather – canyon banks preserve sun warmth, therefore there are no rains here in summer and in spring everything is blooming 2-3 weeks earlier than anywhere in this region.

AVAILABLE TOURS

3 days
1st day. Meeting the group in Ternopil. On the way to the place of the camp - visiting travertine rocks in Rukomyshi village, historic-architectural complex in Buchach village, ruins of the castle in Zolotyy Potik village. Arriving to Vozyliv village. Instructions and training (mastering skills of rafting on mountain rivers). Start of the water trip. Visiting of “Eden” – a hermit cave, hidden in the forest. You may get there having passed through a small waterfall. Visiting Rakovetska fortress ruins (XVIII c.). Setting a camp. For those who wish – fishing.
2nd day. Water trip. You will see geological outcrops (red and grey Devonian sandstones, chalkstones, travertines), picturesque islands, caves; waterfalls (“maiden tears”), gullies (“Red”, “Khmelivska stinka”) with unique steppe flora. Around 5.00 pm – setting a camp. For those who wish – fishing.
3d day. Water trip to Ustechko village. End of rafting. Transfer to Chervonohorod and visiting the biggest and the most beautiful waterfall on Podillya – Dzuryn (16 m high), fortress ruins. Transfer to Ternopil. End of the tour.
5 days
1st day. Meeting the group in Ternopil. On the way to Dnister – visiting  Chortkiv and the pearl of Podillya  - Chervonohorod, where there is the biggest and the most beautiful waterfall - Dzuryn (16 m high), fortress ruins. Arriving in Zalischyk – a former Austrian-Hungarian resort. Instructions and training (mastering skills of rafting on mountain rivers). Start of the water trip.
2nd-5th day. Continuation of the water trip: geological outcrops ( grey Devonian sandstones, chalkstones, travertines), gullies (“Trubchynske”, “Dzvenyhorodske”, “Khudykivska stinka”), “cowboy” landscapes, several waterfalls. Around 5.00 pm – setting a camp. Visiting of historical places: fortress ruins in Okopy, Khotyn Fortress (XIV-XIX cc.).  For those who wish – fishing. Around 5.00 pm – setting a camp.
5th day. End of the water trip near the Khotyn Fortress. Visiting of Zhvanetskyy Castle ruins, walking tour in Kam’yanets Podilskyy. End of the tour.
7 days
1st day. Meeting the group in Ternopil. On the way to the place of the camp - visiting travertine rocks in Rukomyshi village, historic-architectural complex in Buchach village. Arriving in Nyzhniv. Instructions and training (mastering skills of rafting on mountain rivers). Start of the water trip.
2nd-7th day. Continuation of the water trip: geological outcrops ( grey Devonian sandstones, chalkstones, travertines), four hermit caves, where graven crosses are still observable; historical-architectural monuments: a castle of the XIX c., ruins of Rakovetska Fortress (XVII c.), ruins of the fortress in Dzuryn canyon; waterfalls (“maiden tears”, Dzuryn Waterfall (16 m high)); gullies (“Red”, “Khmelivska stinka”) with unique steppe flora. Around 5.00 pm – setting a camp. For those who wish – fishing.
7th day. End of the water trip in Zalischyky. On the way to Ternopil – visiting Mykulynets, where a tasting of local beer is organized near an old fortress walls. Optional: visiting Ukrainian “Shynok” or canteen museum “Staryy Mlyn” (“Old Mill”). End of the tour.
12 days
It unites 5 days and 7 days tours and is performed on the route Nyzhniv – Khotyn.

Price per person includes:
•    transfer to the place of the beginning of the trip/from the place of the end of the trip;
•    guide and instructor services during the tour;
•    dwelling facilities (tents, sleeping bags, rubber mats);
•    use of special equipment, as well as safety equipment (catamarans, sculls, life jackets, helmets, safety ropes);

•    meals (if ordered);
•    tasting of Mykuletske Beer (if ordered)

Southern Bug

Duration: 5 days

AVAILABILITY: mid May – mid October
Recommended for people with elementary skills of rafting

 

God (Boh) – that is how Ukrainian ancestors called this beautiful river. Maybe that was not groundless… Southern Buh – modern name of the river – is the 3rd biggest river in Ukraine, that flows across central and southern regions (steppe and forest-steppe area). Southern Buh is known for its rapids that were formed due to the geological formation – Ukrainian crystal shield.
Landscape park of Pobuzhzhya is located there. The rapids of the river were used by Ukrainian Cossacks and nowadays there are 2 the most dangerous and difficult rapids - “Myhiya” and “Hard”. It becomes more and more popular among tourists for rafting and the rocks are very suitable for rock-climbing trainings.
The route of the trip offered here lies through Tyvriv (Vinnytsya) – Rayhorod section of the river and after 6 days we will pass up to 30 rapids. The peculiarity of Southern Buh is that rapids areas change for its reaches, where you can fish or swim.
This route is relatively easy (1st level of complexity), still it is recommended for people with elementary skills of rafting.

1st day. Meeting the group in Vinnytsya. Transfer to the river. Instructions and training (mastering skills of rafting on rivers). Start of the water trip. Passing the first rapids. Rafting. Viewing the rocks.
2nd day. Rafting. Passing Krasyliv gully. After pontoon ferries – setting a camp. Rest-time around the fire.
3rd day.  Rafting on a long range of rapids (“Kyyivskyy Porih” is the last one). Short-time rest near “Haydamatska krynytsya”. Then the most difficult part of the trip – Sokiletski rapids. Visiting an island. Some time ago there was a castle of the well-known Pototsky family here and there will be an opportunity to visit it. Setting a camp. Rest-time.
4th day. Rafting. Passing 2 rapids. Then – a reach, where you can swim. Nice views around – a gift for photographers. Setting a camp. Rest-time.
5th day. Rafting to Bratslav. Short rest and continuation of the trip (Salynetske gully). Rapids in Hranitne. Rafting on the last rapids. End of the trip. Transfer to Vinnytsya. End of the tour.

Fishery!

5 days fishery trip on Dnister and Seret rivers
Duration: 5 days
 

Sometimes there is a strong need to feel oneself a hunter and a primeval person: wild nature around, fishing rod, pleasure of catching the fish by yourself…

1st day. Meeting the group. Transfer to Dnister. Rafting on rapids with stops to fish. Lunch (ration). Rafting. Setting a camp. Evening fishery. Dinner. Rest-time around the fire.
2nd day. Staying in the camp. Morning fishery. Rest-time. Fishery. Evening fishery. Rest-time around the fire.
3rd day. Rafting and a walking tour. Morning fishery. Rafting to the final destination of the trip. Transfer to Dzuryn canyon (150m deep), Dzuryn waterfall there (16m high), fortress ruins (XVI c.), caves and grottos. On the way to Ternopil – visiting of the castles, tasting of Mykuletske beer. Dinner in Ternopil (in Ukraainian “Shynok” – not included). Transfer to Ivachiv village (20km from Ternopil). Staying there for the night in a hunters’ hut.
4th day. Staying in the camp. Morning fishery. Fishery. Rest-time. Fishery. Evening fishery. Rest-time around the fire.
5th day. Staying in the camp. Morning fishery. Fishery. Rest-time. Fishery. Evening fishery. Transfer to Ternopil. Dinner in Ternopil (canteen museum “Staryy Mlyn” – not included). End of the tour.

Conditions: hunters’ hut accommodates 4-5 persons. All the conveniences – outdoor. In summer there is a possibility to sleep in tents near the hut.
