A FEW REMARKS...

   Ukraine is quite a large country (in European scale), with some mountains, sea coast and a few large towns - but not only in those places you will meet some difficulties in looking for a hotel room or an apartment. You'll ask - why? Well, it just easier to build a block of flats and get the money for it at the very beginning, than to build a hotel and wait for the incomes afterwards. That is why, usually, the pricing for accommodation in Ukraine is quite high, but you can't really understand for what you are actually paying for...

On the other hand, there's a poor offer in small towns or in the country, with some soviet-style old hotel-like buildings, where nobody speaks any other language except Russian or Ukrainian and the towels are stinky. The other thing is the typical Eastern nature of properties' owners - "you don't like it - never mind, I'll find another client for this room in 3 minutes".

That's why it's very important to have a local support, especially if it doesn't cost you a thing!!!
